Some of the teachers were wonderful, but they didn't last long. One of the teachers of the 3-4 yr olds was TERRIBLE. Apparently it's acceptable to blame everything on the children and not take responsibility for your lack of skills when you've been there forever.

I live across the street from the daycare and have had nothing but issues with them regarding noise. They stand outside and let those kids do anything they want. Two children just had a 15 minute screaming match. The overseers as far as I can see from my front porch get paid to stand around.

Please, for the sake of your child, do not send them here. The director has no business working with children. I'm sure her time is better spent babysitting the drunks where she bartends.

There are a few caretakers who seem to care but the majority stand like robots as the children run amok. I try and let it be but I am at my wits end. Wonder if the parents know what's going on with their children during the day. Is it right to let a child sit alone in a corner of the playground and let them cry for half an hour because they'd rather not deal with it...?

Great center, great staff.

My son attended Lally for 2 years and had a very positive experience - so much that we decided to place our new baby in the infant room. I just happened to search the center to get the phone number and was surprised to see the poor reviews, giving the center a low rating, and felt compelled to share our experience. It seems the other reviewers are residents in the neighborhood who would rather not have the center near their home. Personally, I would never want to live near a daycare either - there's lots of traffic outside Lally during drop off and pick up times. I can't fault them for their opinions but they in no way reflect the level of care children will receive here. We have not experienced issues with absent or lazy staff on the playground - we've only witnessed caring employees and a center that continuously makes improvements in their facility and classrooms.

Save your child and yourself the stress and headache of a negative environment and find some place else.

The Director and Staff pride themselves on having a family atmosphere at the center. Your children will be thoroughly cared for and well prepared to enter school. Communication is important at the center. Anytime I had concerns, I felt comfortable in voicing them to the Director - she not only listened but took steps to make improvements when necessary. During the 2 years we've had children here I always feel like I could easily approach the Director and discuss anything. And the communication went both ways- parents are sent information daily to email and information is regularly communicated between teachers and parents. Classrooms recently started using iPads and the Tadpole App to send pictures and updates to your email daily. Nothing brightens my day more than knowing that my children are enjoying their time.

I agree there are several employees who do nothing. Look at all the garbage that's left around because they can't be bothered to throw it away. The employees spend more time gossiping than watching the kids and they are constantly leaving children unattended or with not enough supervision. There was 1 child left outside in a playground with the doors closed and no adults anywhere in sight. Why would anyone pay $$$$$ to have their kids neglected!

An added bonus to all of the above: Their prices are affordable. I'd never sacrifice level of care for cost savings but at the Lally Center you find positives in both areas.
